The family-friendly camping consisting of 435 places direct by the Sempach lake is surrounded by the gently rolling hills that form the Luzerner Mittelland. Since a few years, rentals are also available to guests with 3 tent bungalows, 6 normal bungalows as well as additional 2 barrier-free bungalows for handicapped people. Children’s entertainment programme, electro-bike and bicycle rental on site, multiple free time activities along with excellent infrastructure and an easy place to reach.
The newly renovated and extended youth hostel, designed by the architects Buchner & Bründler, is a pearl on any list of youth hostels. Features include 234 beds in rooms for two to six people, reception room, lounge and dining area, meeting room, kiosk, Internet corner, free WIFI and inclusive breakfast buffet. A tasteful mix between tradition and modern, with central position in the St. Alban area. Every guest receives a Mobility-Ticket entitling them to free use of Basel’s public transport.
The former farmhouse dating back to 1931 was lovingly modernized and extended in 1977. Warm & friendly ambiance directly by the Hallwilersee lake,close to a bathing facility. Total 82 beds, evening dinner on request and available cooking facilities for guests. 3 lounges, 1 recreation room and lovely inner-courtyard with grill place. A sports facility is also close by, the use of which is free for hostel guests. Castles and interesting hikes in and around the area.
