Winterthur Natural History Museum

Learning by touching: In the Winterthur Natural History Museum, young scientists are allowed to touch the animals. Like little badgers they can sniff around in an oversized badger's burrow and label and display their finds from forest and meadow in the drawer-museum. They will be accompanied by the popular doll Kerala, which is also ideal for a birthday party. In a playful manner, a museum teacher guides the children through the various themes.

Museum of Fine Art

The Museum of Art in Basel merges historically valuable paintings and copper engravings from the 15th to 17th centuries with art from the 19th to 20th century. These two focal points make the museum one of the most important museums of its kind.

The Kunstmuseum Basel focuses on the paintings and drawings by Upper-Rhine and Flemish artists from 1400 to 1600 and international art of the 19th to 21st centuries.

Oskar Reinhart Museum

Since 1951 the former grammar school at the city park houses around 600 pictures and drawings by Swiss, German and Austrian artists. We owe this to the Winterthur art patron Oskar Reinhart.
