Planplatten – Alpen Tower

In the summer of 1998, a state-of-the-art gondola replaced the 2-seater chairlift Mägisalp – Planplatten, which dates back to Gründerzeit at the end of the 19th century. A year later the construction began on the panoramic restaurant Alpen Tower.

The Sustenhorn, Grimsel region and Finsteraarhorn on the one side, with Lake Brienz, the Rothorn and Jura in the far distance on the other. A beautiful vantage point to the east of the Bernese Oberland.

Eggberge – above the Reuss Valley

When the weather forecast threatens with “gray down under and blue on top“ – this is the place to avoid the fog. 1000 meters above the Urnersee lake, with views as far as the Gotthard region.

From this family-friendly location the gondola railway climbs 500 meters high through the coniferous forest to the Hannigalp – and kids of course delight in the 10 gondolas clad fairy-tale fashion.

Dent de Nendaz – Tracouet

On December 20, 1958 the gondola train Nendaz-Tracout was inaugurated in the presence of the press, numerous guests and the local population. The new installation was celebrated in a grand way and many photographs were taken. The Canton of Valais had gained another resort village.

The Rhone Valley at your feet, 2000 meters below, and impressive views from up here as you gaze down upon the seemingly miniature railway and cars journeying on the motorway.
