Schynige Platte, 1967m

Sleeping at the Mountain Hotel Schynige Platte is a special treat: before dinner go for a brief stroll at an altitude of 2000 m.a.s.l. and once more look at the mountain triumvirate Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau, which reign in majestic silence after the last train has departed. The hotel is right next door to the more than 100-year-old rack-and-pinion train, making for an easy transfer.

A vantage point like the Schynige Platte between Lake Brienzersee and Jungfrau is calling not only for a summit restaurant but also for a hotel.
