Lac Lioson

The idyllic mountain lake Lioson is in the Pic Chaussy massif at 1890 m. Today, it can only be reached on foot, in 1.5 hours from the Col des Mosses or in 45 minutes from the "Lioson d'en Bas" car-park. There is a little pets' zoo with rabbits, goats and chickens to entertain the children while you take a break at the Lioson mountain hut.

Visit Kraftwerke Oberhasli AG

The use of hydroelectric power in the Grimsel and Susten area commenced in 1925 with the founding of the Kraftwerke Oberhasli AG (Oberhasli AG power plants). In several stages, an impressive facility came into being that comprises eight dams and nine power plants, generating electricity for 1.2 million people.

Salanfe Dam

Salanfeā€™s dam in Salvan is 52 meters high, 40 m wide at its (foundation) basis and 608 m long at its top. It has a storage capacity of 40 million cubic meters.
