Appenzell Alpine Trail: The Swiss Flower Route

Behind you the mighty Alpstein massif with the dominant Mount Säntis, and in front of you nothing but a vast expanse – the boundless view of the Appenzell hill country up to Lake Constance makes the Alpine Trail a real panorama tour. And in early summer the experience includes unparalleled flower scenery.

To get a bird's eye perspective on the Appenzell region there is really no need to get airborne – just follow the Alpine Trail.

Vineyard Trail between Salgesch and Sierre

This walkway among the vineyards connects Salgesch with the Château de Villa in Siders. Each of the 80 information signs along the way features a theme. The wine museum at two locations: from Haus Zumofen in Salgesch to the Château de Villa in Siders.

This 2.5-hour tour is like a walk through an open-air museum.
