Lourdes Grotto

Abbeys & churches – Fourteen Stations of the Cross lead from the church to the "Lourdes Grotto", a replica of the place in Lourdes (France) where in 1858 the Mother of God appeared to Bernadette Soubirous 18 times and where millions of pilgrims go to pray and be cured of their bodily suffering. This cave in the Entlebuch is a popular place for weddings, while those wishing to pray quietly find peace and relaxation here.

Evangelical church in Stugl

Abbeys & churches – In the past it was not only goods that were transported over the Albula Pass, there was also a vibrant cultural exchange between the north and the south. In the little church in Stugl (14th century), there is only room for a couple of dozen people. The wonderful paintings in this little chapel perched on a hill between Bergün and Filisur are strikingly reminiscent of those in the Arena Chapel in the northern Italian town of Padua.
