Baumgarten/ Wand Piste

With its fairly compact dimensions, the Mörlialp winter sports area near Giswil is particularly popular with families. Its most beautiful descent begins on Alpoglen and passes the Wand chairlift top station before continuing down to the Mörlialp valley station.

Cheese making in a beautifully panoramic spot

The Fluonalp is one of the loveliest of the Giswil Alps and the cows that graze here enjoy not only magnificent views, but a copious supply of the most delicious herbs. No wonder the cheese made from their milk is so remarkable. Nor is the recipe a secret. Anyone who wants to can visit the dairy and make their own cheese. What’s more, they can pick it up again a year later (the cheeses weigh between 11 and 13 kg), by which time it will have matured to perfection.

On the Fluonalp, one of the loveliest Giswil Alps, cows not only have sweeping views but the pick of delicious herbs.

The Hammetschwand Lift at the Bürgenstock Resort

The path brings you within 25 minutes to the Hammetschwand Lift, which will whisk you in just over one minute up to the highest point of the "city of Lucerne" on the Hammetschwand, 1132 m above sea level.
