The historic funicular railway takes you up to the top station at 2453 m above sea level, where you can enjoy an unforgettable view of the magnificent snow-covered, indescribably vast valley. While the last rays of the sun bathe the Engadin in a golden glow, you will be served traditional dishes of the region. At about 11 p.m., the last cable-car will take you back down to the sea of lights that is the village.
The hiking area around the Upper Engadine lakes must be one of the most popular and spectacular in Switzerland. Yet, even here, where Nature has been so extravagant in her creation of beautiful scenery, there are still some walks that surpass all others.
The Paradis Hütte is located at the heart of the Albris region – home to Switzerland’s largest ibex colony. Furthermore, it lays in an Eldorado for marmots, together with the Val Languard plant reserve – in a spot with beautiful sweeping views over the imposing Bernina massif from the sun terrace.
