Fascinating Aletsch Glacier
On the trail of an Ice Age researcher, visitors can discover the secrets of the largest glacier in the Alps in a unique exhibition on Bettmerhorn Alp!
Panorama Restaurant Bettmerhorn, 1950m
Views of 32 mountains, exceeding four thousand metres each. Every Thursday Raclette Dinner with musical entertainment, followed by torchlight descent. Seasonally changing art exhibitions by Swiss artists. Short walk to the vantage point on the Aletsch Glacier.
Restaurant Bättmer-Hitta, 2172m
The restaurant features 3 rooms: The Moosij-Room, Edelbert's Hunting Parlour and the Mountain Guide Room.
Aletsch Panoramaweg: The Swiss Glacier Trail
Europe's longest glacier is not listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for no reason. The landscape through which this four-hour hike from Bettmerhorn mountain station runs is spectacular. Flagstones make the mountain trail easily accessible and on a panoramic level high above the Aletsch Glacier it leads towards the magical Lake Märjelen.
