Aletsch Panoramaweg: The Swiss Glacier Trail – Europe's longest glacier is not listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for no reason. The landscape through which this four-hour hike from Bettmerhorn mountain station runs is spectacular. Flagstones make the mountain trail easily accessible and on a panoramic level high above the Aletsch Glacier it leads towards the magical Lake Märjelen.
– This density is unique - nowhere else in Switzerland are there as many cable railways in such a small space as in central Switzerland. About a hundred of them transport passengers comfortably up to the most beautiful hiking areas. At the start of the four-hour Walen Trail the new cabin carries up to 15 passengers at a time to the Bannalp, and at the end there is the exclusive open panorama cabin to Engelberg.
Here is a chance for unique mountain adventures and mountain railway experiences - the Walen Trail is a sophisticated pleasure tour with panoramic views.
