The Madonna degli Angioli church

Abbeys & churches – The church was originally part of the Franciscan monastery, which was founded in 1490. The fresco of the crucifixion, painted by Bernardino Luini (1530) on the dividing wall between the nave and the choir is very famous and valuable.

The church, which was originally part of a Franciscan monastery, is home to Switzerland's most famous Renaissance fresco. It covers the whole wall of the nave. The "Passion and and Crucifixion of Christ" is defined by great expressiveness and vividness of the individual scenes.
