Sassal Mason viewpoint

At first glance the high alpine region around the Bernina Pass looks barren, yet it boasts a wealth of alpine flora. You can see this for yourself on the path along the Lago Bianco to the Sassal Mason (2355 m), with its splendid panorama of the Palü glacier and as far as the Val Poschiavo. All along the way there are tempting restaurants to spend a while in, at the Ospizio Bernina, in Sassal Mason, at the Belvedere and on the Alp Grüm.

Casa Console Art Museum, Poschiavo

A collection of important paintings from the 19th century (Carl Spitzweg, Franz von Lenbach, Ferdinand Hodler, Alexander Calame, etc.). The building, that has been renovated entirely in period style, also houses a gallery, art school and music room.

Tour around the town of Poschiavo

The centre of Poschiavo, also known as Borgo, is surprising; with its picture-book town centre and its narrow, picturesque streets and its well-maintained and historically important buildings. Three imposing towers dominate the scene. The tour around the town gives visitors a glimpse of the architecture (churches, palaces) and the turbulent history of Poschiavo, the valley’s capital.
