Brennwald

Beginners' tour with magnificent vistas of Lake Lucerne

The heartland of Switzerland, where once upon a time the legendary Rütli Oath marked the beginning of the Swiss Confederation, nowadays mainly excursionists longing for pristine nature are gamboling and enjoying the scenery. In contrast to the Swiss inhabitants of those dearly days, today's visitors have an eye for the esthetics of this picturesque landscape. Here the deep-blue Lake Lucerne, the two Mythen mountains and the Rigi massif bid you welcome.

Downhill Klewenalp

Travel comfortably by cableway up to the Klewenalp and "schuss" down toward Lake Vierwaldstättersee.

Take the cable car to the top and bike your way down through a fantastic landscape dotted with mountains and lakes. It's the perfect recipe for downhill freaks. The starting point of this fast downhill ride, the open country terrace of the Klewenalp with its superb views, lies high above Lake Vierwaldstättersee. Gravel pistes dominate the fast descent when you swoop down to Emetten. And of course we haven't forgotten to include a few tricky single trails.

Switzerland’s only Glass Labyrinth

The extraordinary world of glass enchants visitors with glass sounds and a fascinating light show. Similar to a mirror hall, and yet different, it is not easy to find one’s way to the exit. One has to take care not to bump into something.

Ice fishing on Melchsee-Frutt

There's no need to travel to the far north to enjoy ice fishing: it's also possible at an altitude of about 2000 m.a.s.l. in the heart of Switzerland.
