A stint as a sheep shearer

Experience the sight of some 160 sheep being given a short back and sides – and help give it to them, if you like, if only to find out what sheep’s wool feels like when it’s still on the sheep. You can also try giving your animal a more stylish hairdo, or just admire the sheer skill and speed of the shepherds hard at work around you.

Poisonous, medicinal and green 'dragon tea' herb garden

Countless medicinal herbs grow in front of and next to the Metzger natural apothecary in Beatenberg. Numbered signs serve to identify a portion of these. Learn more about these mysterious plants over a dragon tea (green tea) in the shop or in the al fresco cafe. Guided tours, presentations and Alpine herb walks are available on request.
