The "entirely different" guesthouse! The Steppenblüte Community is a sisterhood to the reformed state church and has run the former Grimmialp Grand-Hotel with its 65 beds since 1993. The consumption of alcohol and smoking are not permitted in the guesthouse.
Graubünden: Scarnuz Grischun
The special treat for Graubünden expatriates and gourmets: six mountain farmers from the Beverin nature reserve produce Graubünden specialities and sell them as "Scarnuz Grischun". 14 different products sourced from nature, gardens and farms make up the contents of this paper bag (“Scarnuz”). Cream and milk from the farmers’ own cows, berries from farm kitchen gardens and mountain pasture herbs for tea – a true celebration and enjoyment of nature.
Binntal nature excursions
Once a month, the Binn valley landscape offers its visitors a nature study excursion. The following subjects will be covered in 2009: Wildlife, tulips, birds, wild bees, Alpine flora, mushrooms and the forest. Contact the Binn valley landscape park for more information and to book a place.
Guided landscape tours in the nature reserve
There are many attractions in the Aargau Jura Nature Reserve that people don't know about. To change this, 13 trained guides are eagerly waiting to pass on their knowledge and share information about the region. There are different subject areas to choose from, and the cost per guided hour amounts to 75.00. (subject to change according to group size and logistical effort).
