Mainly local organic products are used in the restaurant's kitchen, which is known for seasonal cuisine, game specialties from our own hunting grounds (especially in autumn) as well as snails.

The Rischli holiday and wellness hotel, renovated in summer/autumn 2005, is one of the top hotels in Sörenberg. Along with its traditional cuisine, it offers menus focussing on fitness, health and wellness. The hotel is one of the certified partners of the Biosphere and the dairy and meat products it uses are mainly sourced from the region.

This traditional pub-restaurant still bears the same name as 300 years ago. Where possible, all the processed produce as well as raw foodstuffs are purchased in Switzerland. In addition to the classics, the menu also always has seasonal dishes on offer. In 2005, the Restaurant zum Hirze was accepted as a guild restaurant of the Swiss Guild of Established Cooks.
