To the minerals mine
The path along the sun-kissed slope from Binn (1400m) to Imfäld (1520m) via Holzerhischere/Giessen is popular on account of its gentle ascent and its magnificent views. Stone blocks and information plaques explain the interesting geology of the Binn valley. The mining waste heaps are very popular with children because of the fool's gold (iron pyrites). Keen mineral spotters will want to look for realgar and other rarities.
Pack trail from the Goms to the Grimsel
Attractive rural walk with stark contrasts en route: The tranquility of a forest trail and a vista-filled climb on the old pack route up to the height of the Grimsel Pass. The "bikki" trail sections arouse admiration. "Bikki" are stones that have been laid in rows next to one another to form a paved surface. Route: Münster – Zum Loch – Obergesteln – Altstafel – Grimsel (Jungfrau-Aletsch World Heritage Hiking Guide)
Walks with mountain guides or escorts
Mountain guides and escorts like to show you the special features of the Val d'Hérens. On half-day or full-day excursions, you will discover woods, clearings, alpine meadows, hills and mountains. There are various organisations in Arolla, Les Hauderes, La Sage and Evolène offering their services, and information is also available from the Tourist Offices.
Feldmoos wind farm

Guided tours can be arranged on request and they show a film to answer all your questions about using wind power.
