The Saane is not one of the very large rivers in Switzerland, but it offers a great variety of experiences and adventure potential. The river, here sometimes called “Rösti ditch”, is the dividing line between the German-speaking and French-speaking parts of Switzerland.

Pascale Bruderer im Aargau (6. August) – The Reuss is Central Switzerland’s quintessential river. Starting in the Gotthard region, it steadily flows northward, through Lake Lucerne, and after 160 kiliometers it ultimately flows near Windisch into the Aare River.

Schon in der Frühzeit war die Felseninsel zwischen dem Genfersee und den steil aufragenden Bergen bewohnt. Von hier wurde jahrhundertelang der Schiffsverkehr auf dem Genfersee und der bedeutende Landweg zum St.Bernhard-Pass beherrscht. Vom 12. bis ins 16. Jahrhundert gehörte Chillon den Grafen von Savoyen, dann eroberten die Berner die Wasserburg, danach die Waadtländer. Über 300’000 Besucher besichtigen pro Jahr Chillon mit den Wandmalereien aus dem 14. International Clock Museum

Crafts – The Musée International d'Horlogerie (MIH) is home to more than 4,500 of the most famous clocks and watches, each a testimony to the history of timekeeping. Observe watchmakers at work in the Centre for the Restoration of Antique Timepieces. An audiovisual presentation, a multimedia show and interactive clocks complete a visit to the world's largest clock museum.

Engelberg - Titlis

Excursions – Engelberg offers an action-packed summer and winter programme while also offering every opportunity for relaxation. The ‘Mountain of Angels’ as the founders of the Benedictine monastery called the place in 1120 is located in the heart of Central Switzerland. The Titlis at an altitude of 3020 metres above sea level and its glacier park are accessible by revolving rotair cableway.
