Obersaxen Mundaun

The holiday region of Obersaxen-Mundaun / Ilanz / Val Lumnezia stretches from Ilanz in the valley in Surselva in Grisons in one direction up to the holiday region of Obersaxen on a high plateau overlooking the upper reaches of the Anterior Rhine and, in the other, to the Val Lumnezia. Common to both areas is the long chain of the Mundaun mountains in between, a popular region for hiking and skiing.

The region of Obersaxen Mundaun is a vacation destination for experiencing nature and culture. The hamlets of Obersaxen (a typical Walser community with 29 farms) and Mundaun (Surcuolm & Flond) are located on a 12 km long sun terrace at 1,072 to 1,430 meters above sealevel.
