The round trip through the stunning world of flora and fauna starts at the "Le Chargeur" cable-car station at the top of the "Grande Dixence" dam and lasts four hours. On the way, the "Cabane de Prafleuri" mountain hut is an inviting place to stop for refreshment or a small snack. The tour takes you close to the highest peaks.

Grande Dixence – the 285 Meter High Dam

Dam – The Grande Dixence, the world's highest gravity dam, collects the meltwater of 35 Valaisian glaciers in the region surrounding Zermatt and leading up to Val d’Hérens. The dam can be viewed, and is the starting point for several hiking tours.
