Senda Val Müstair Walk

Panorama trails – An easy upland walk through Swiss stone pine forests, past huts set on Alpine pastures and across mountain fields with views into the valley and across to the mighty Ortler massif. The trail starts on the Ofen Pass, leads across the 'Alp da Munt' to the 'Alp Champatsch', and then takes you to the small village of Lü. From here the walk continues across the 'Sot Alp' to the Craistas and Pütschai farms, and then descends gently to Müstair. 20 km in length, 6 hours walking time.

Schon in der Frühzeit war die Felseninsel zwischen dem Genfersee und den steil aufragenden Bergen bewohnt. Von hier wurde jahrhundertelang der Schiffsverkehr auf dem Genfersee und der bedeutende Landweg zum St.Bernhard-Pass beherrscht. Vom 12. bis ins 16. Jahrhundert gehörte Chillon den Grafen von Savoyen, dann eroberten die Berner die Wasserburg, danach die Waadtländer. Über 300’000 Besucher besichtigen pro Jahr Chillon mit den Wandmalereien aus dem 14.
