The Africa Museum in Zug was opened in 1906 and this was brought about by the establishment in Zug of a branch of St. Peter Claver Sodality in 1905.
The "Widder-Fritz" in Zug is a cosy restaurant serving typical Swiss specialities. Besides its traditional "home-style" cooking, its diverse cuisine offerings include exotic dishes from South Africa.
The exact age of the Huwiler Tower is unknown, but, according to Linus Birchler, cannot be later than 1524/25. Other sources give the year as 1519 and claim that it was built by a citizen named Huwiler.
