At 1606 m, the Chasseron is one of the highest peaks in the Jura, and so the views are vast. At the foot of the mountain are Lake Neuchâtel and the town of Yverdon-les-Bains. To the west, you can see as far as Lake Geneva and the Savoy. To the north-east you can see the Chasseron's twin peak, the Chasseral, just 40 cm higher.
Among a wide wealth of nature trails the marshland- and foresttrail of the Center of Conservation "Champ-Pittet" near Yverdon-les-Bains on the shore of Lake Neuchâtel is one of the most interesting nature trail in Switzerland.
