Hotel de la Poste

If you enter one of the 15 rooms here, you feel as if you are in the middle of the forest. The building, which dates from the 18th century, was fully renovated in 2007: 15 types of tree give the bedrooms their names, their appearance and even their fragrance. The hotel has its own rustic bistro and the "Le Trèfle" restaurant, with highly unusual architecture.

Café Helvétia

This café is decorated like a cobbled street, with old-style street lamps. Regional sandwiches are served and there is a large choice of wines by the glass.

Valais Museum of Wine and Winegrowing

The 400 year old Zumofen house is situated in the heart of the old village. Since the middle ages, the residents have adapted to ever-changing needs. The barn and stable remind us that prior to the winemaking monoculture people's lives as well as the landscape at Salgesch were centred around animal husbandry and agriculture. The 6 km long wine theme trail runs to the Château de Villa in Sierre.

Two sites, one museum - Sierre and Salgesch - linked between them by the wine-growing path.
