– The Rote Seeli is a curiosity in the Samnaun group. Algae colour its waters red. The lake is fed from an underground source and water also flows out of the lake underground.

Mountain lakes – The Blausee nature park is a jewel of the Bernese Alps: with its deep blue, crystal-clear waters it is surrounded by a 20-hectare, traffic-free nature park. Stocks of Alpine trout are kept in the lake.

Blausee

Mountain lakes –
The view from the Blausee to the nearby Valais four-thousand-metre peaks (Weisshorn, Matterhorn and Dom) is breathtaking! Lake Blausee lies at an altitude of 2207m and its water can heat up to 20 degrees. Visitors find Barbecue facilities close by and can enjoy free access to the lake shore. Access from Riederalp by the Riederalp-Moosfluh cableway, then by foot to the Blausee. (15 min.).

Access: by train or car to Mörel and then by cableway to Riederalp.
