The trail leads along the bank of the Emme, a rivulet, from Littau to its sources behind Sörenberg. The entire trail along the bank of the Emme is easy to hike. Only between Schüpfheim and Flühli are there some steep stretches.
Barren high moors, flowery low moor bogs and a primeval moorland delight the senses! Moors - as far as the eye can see and your feet will carry you. Nowhere else in Switzerland are there so many nationally protected moors in such a small area as in the Entlebuch.
The region around Entlebuch offers a surprisingly large number of historical, modern-day and visionary links to energy.
