Top 100 Excursions – Europe's longest glacier is not listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for no reason. The landscape through which this four-hour hike from Bettmerhorn mountain station runs is spectacular. Flagstones make the mountain trail easily accessible and on a panoramic level high above the Aletsch Glacier it leads towards the magical Lake Märjelen.
Sun stops – Views of 32 mountains, exceeding four thousand metres each. Every Thursday Raclette Dinner with musical entertainment, followed by torchlight descent. Seasonally changing art exhibitions by Swiss artists. Short walk to the vantage point on the Aletsch Glacier.
Nordic Walking – The car-free Bettmeralp is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site and has three interesting trails (3.8 km, 10.2 km, 12.3 km) ranging from the easy to the demanding. Besides offering breathtaking views of some world famous, 4000-m-high peaks, these trails provide tips on stretching and toning, on how to improve your coordination and the right workout intensity.
