Camana, located at 1800 meters above sea level, is the highest settlement in the Safien Valley. It is therefore an ideal starting point for snowshoe tours. From the PostBus stop in Camana a well-marked trail leads to the Camana Forest and down to Camana Boden, past some of Camana’s alpine huts. From Camana Boden, the trail follows the cantonal road up to the houses of Hof, where the descent to Safien Platz begins.

In Camana, the Schlittelbeizli (“Toboggan pub”) is open from 11 a.m. From this location a sledding trail takes you back to the starting point and to the PostBus stop. In Safien-Platz, Gasthaus Rathaus (or ”Townhall Inn”) serves regional specialties.
