Aminona - Tièche - Les Taules - Ploumachit - Aminona

The challenging stretch, originally signposted for the mountain-bike championships back in 1988, is the perfect place to put your fitness levels to the test while enjoying healthy adventure and some amazing Crans Montana landscapes. And the track created in 1988 is much the same as today’s 17 kilometer-long bike route on which Ned Overend won the first medal in the mountain-bike sports sector.

The tour commences by the Aminona hamlet, which lies above Crans Montana. There you also find parking places as well as a bus stop. Now it’s up and away on a steep mountain climb, direction Cave du Sex, where you find a restaurant and chance for a first break. On and up over the tree line you’re then rewarded with top panoramic views over the Valais - home to the majestic sky-high peaks - and the perfect spot to stop, relax and soak up all the natural beauty that surrounds you.

Along the route bikers find themselves chiefly on unsealed paths, some of which present a technically interesting challenge. The way back to Aminona is on a path with plenty of ups and downs, where shortly before the hamlet the Restaurant Ploumachit also invites you to take that last break and enjoy!
