Lucerne: New 3D Digital IMAX-Film: «AFRICAN ADVENTURE 3D»

As of September 2009, the IMAX Theatre in Lucerne will thrill audiences with a fascinating 3D safari through the Okavango River Delta in Botswana, a nature paradise with a maze of lagoons, channels and islands: «AFRICAN ADVENTURE 3D».
Retracing the expeditions of famous nature filmmakers, Belgian 3D film specialist Ben Stassen accompanies British wildlife moviemaker Tim Liversedge and South African zoologist Liesl Eichenberger on a photo safari. Thanks to the magic of 3D, the audience is treated to close-up encounters with big game from the vantage points of a jeep, a motorboat and a mokoro, a traditional dugout canoe: lions hunting wild boars, huge hippopotamuses bathing in the river and a mysterious underwater world. «AFRICAN ADVENTURE 3D» is an awesomely immersive big-screen safari!
