Valposchiavo. Miralago on the Lake of Polschiavo. The valley floor where the village now stands is the remnant of a rockslide that occurred several thousand years ago. This slide also dammed up the river and formed the lake itself.

Between the "Ospizio Bernina" Refuge and the glacier mills of Cavaglia, 12 signposts show how electric current was brought to the Rhaetian Railways and the Valposchiavo valley. They also explain the ecological production of energy, and provide geological and biological information on this high Alpine valley.

On the hiking tour though one of Switzerland's most beautiful mountain landscapes the hiker can find out what is meant by eco-current and how it is produced. The hike takes 2 1/2 hours from Ospizio Bernina to the Glacier garden of Cavaglia, an extraordinary natural formation often referred to as "The giants' pots".
