The power of the thermal springs in Baden – which literally means “bathing” – has been known for 2,000 years: nowhere else in Switzerland are the waters as rich in minerals.
Every day, from 18 springs, a million litres bubble out of the ground, enabling the tranquil, historic bathing quarter to offer a wide range of soothing, relaxing and healing treatments. Baden is also proud of its past, which stretches back to the days of the Romans, and you can hear all manner of amusing stories about the picturesque little town on one of the popular individual guided tours.
