The views from Mt. Säntis are truly exceptional. Italy, Austria, Liechtenstein, Germany, Switzerland and France are all visible from the sunny terrace of this mountain-top guesthouse.
Those wishing to stay overnight can choose between clean and cosy rooms sleeping up to 20 altogether and various dormitories with 100 beds all told. Come the evening, they can look forward to a warm and friendly atmosphere in the saloon and lots of good cheer.
How to get there:
From St. Gallen via Urnäsch, or from Toggenburg to Schwägalp and from there by cable car to the summit (takes about 10 mins.) where there is a roofed-over path leading to the Berggasthaus.
Sunset:
Guests like to take a short after-dinner walk to the peak, where they can marvel at the magnificent sunset. The organizers of the state-of-the art Säntis cable cars offer special full moon rides. The experience is truly memorable.
