The Mountain Hotel Hoher Kasten is sitting on its namesake mountain as if it were an eagle's nest. The panoramic view from this peak at the eastern rim of the southernmost Alpstein ridge is spectacular.
A revolving restaurant has newly opened in the upper part of the building. The mid-level floor houses a panoramic restaurant with a viewing terrace.
How to get there:
Drive or take public transportation from Zürich or St. Gallen to Brülisau, valley station of the aerial cable car to Hohen Kasten.
Sunset:
Unhindered view into the far countryside. Especially beautiful sunrise and sunset. During the summer months aerial cable car rides are offered on Saturday evening.
