The journey on the cog railway from the palm-lined shores of Lake Geneva up to the edelweiss-strewn meadows on the Rochers de Naye (2045m) takes just one hour. Later you can enjoy a fantastic sunset at Lake Geneva.

Sleeping at the Mountain Hotel Schynige Platte is a special treat: before dinner go for a brief stroll at an altitude of 2000 m.a.s.l. and once more look at the mountain triumvirate Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau, which reign in majestic silence after the last train has departed. The hotel is right next door to the more than 100-year-old rack-and-pinion train, making for an easy transfer.

The cozy Kulm Hotel Gornergrat, located at a breath-taking 3100 m.a.s.l., is built of solid stone with Swiss pine interiors. The comfort offered here is superb.
