When the weather report predicts “Mist in the valley”, one best escapes the greyness on the sun-drenched terrace of Eggberge.
As a sunny terrace above Lake Urnersee, the Eggberge offer a rich spectrum of hiking and relaxation options. Nature lovers will be in their element on Eggberge, no matter whether they take a leisurely walk in the sun on a Sunday afternoon or a lengthy day tour. Hikers enjoy the fantastic view over Lake Urnnersee and the Urner mountain world. The Eggberge mountains are ideal playgrounds for mountain bikers and paragliders. To get to this mountain paradise, one needs the appropriate transportation: The aerial cableway’s 15-seater gondolas whisk guests in only 9 minutes from the valley station to the mountain station (1447m), overcoming an elevation difference of 1000 meters.
Access:
By train to Flüelen (Gotthard Line), bus connection to the valley station. Autobahn exit Flüelen on the A2 from Lucerne to Ticino.
