Getting Around 
From Miglieglia the modern cable car climbs 848 meters to the Monte Lema (1624m). The ride takes 10 minutes. There are three cabin groups ascending the mountain, offering room for 45 persons, while the three other cabins descend. In the summit area next to the mountain station you will find a mountain restaurant and an observatory. From the peak you can admire the surrounding mountains of South Ticino, Lake Lugano on one side of the ridge and Lago Maggiore on the other side.
The summit region is popular not only with hikers. It is also ideally suited to Mountainbike tours. The four- to five-hour mountain hike to Monte Tamaro is legendary.

From Miglieglia the modern cable car reaches the peak of Monte Lema in only 10 minutes. From the terrace of the mountain restaurant you will enjoy a splendid view.
Access:
You can travel to Miglieglia from Lugano by train via Lamone-Cadempino (Regional train in the direction of Bellinzona) and by PostBus. By car from Lugano Nord or Süd via Agno/Magliaso to Miglieglia. After the Tamaro hike, you can return from Rivera by regional train to Lugano or continue in the direction of Bellinzona/Gotthard.
