High-quality new elements have been added to the building: hardwood tables with cast-iron legs, new cherrywood chairs in the Biedermeier style, simple contemporary lighting, and two cosy new guestrooms equipped with sprucewood furniture.
The guesthouse Krone is located in Speicher on a major bend in the road. The grounds of the building, containing natural stone plasterwork, good-quality garden tables and chairs both in front of the house and on the small patio at the rear, are a reflection of the quality of the interior. Its largely authentic overall character, in the Biedermeier style, gives the village guesthouse in the well-maintained Appenzell village of Speicher particular cultural value.
