The centuries-old tradition of the Guildhall zu Metzgern is carefully respected by the host and his team while at the same time their experience in Mediterranean and Indian cuisine is fully evident in the typical Swiss and international dishes served. The range of menus is based on the highest quality of ingredient (mainly organic and Goût Mieux-certified) and the selection of local producers. Awarded in August 2004, the Guildhall zu Metzgern was the first Gault-Millau restaurant in Thun. The guild room with its stunning views of the picturesque town square is the setting for banquets for up to 50 people. In summer the secluded terrace under the chestnut tree is the perfect place to linger a while.
