The route first leads through a forest to an Alpine pasture at 2,066 meters, where the hut is located. It offers 50 beds and is open all year, but manned by a warden only from mid-June to mid-September. Cooking is possible when the hut is manned. An excursion to the Cava Lakes is highly recommended.
