Roter Turm (Red Tower)

The Swisscom Tower, completed in 2000 and now the property of AXA Winterthur Versicherungen, was designed by considering local features with regards to urban development and the materials used. The meander-shaped office wings refer to the scale of the urban environment, forming a base from which the tower twists up like a sculpture. The brick façades allude to the tradition of brick buildings which dominate the surrounding cityscape. From the tower restaurant there is a breathtaking view over the city.
