The house in which Brahms lived during that time was demolished in the early 1930s and a small park established with a monument by Hermann Hubacher. As a monument to Brahms, Hubacher created a symbol of music and of listening to music: The position of the arm of the free-standing naked woman with her eyes closed shows that she is listening attentively. Besides his engagement with the portrait bust, Hubacher’s main theme focused on the free-standing female nude.
