Hint

Intro

There is no better way to experience Switzerland’s fascination than by biking through the Alps. Over numerous passes, always through new valleys. A route that is extremely challenging in terms of technique and fitness but also incredibly fascinating.

Closure, Alter Schin

The path through the Schin Gorge is closed due to a rockfall. It is recommended to take the train between Tiefencastel and Thusis.

Description

The ultimate thrill: True, there are quicker ways to get from Scuol in Graubünden to Aigle in Vaud, but none is more spectacular. On this tour across Switzerland, you can witness first-hand how geology has shaped the land over millennia. The tour over the Bündner, Bernese and Vaudoise Alps is a seemingly never-ending adventure. The Alpine Bike is a fabulous tour that takes about 16 days to cover. You need to be in good physical shape and have some technical skills. Definitely a route for high summer, as some parts are still covered in snow long after winter has ended. Beginners and families can feel a mountain biker’s high as they glide along gentle, wonderful rolling trails in Engadin and the Simmental valley.

An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
