Solitary forests, mystical marshland, jagged limestone rocks and glades as well as pastureland surrounded by stonewalls make the nature park especially attractive for pleasure hikers, mountain bikers and snowshoe hikers. The well-marked network of trails is 523 kilometers long. Alpine cheese dairies and "Buvettes d'Alpage" offering refreshments and local specialties beckon the visitor to tarry awhile. .

A unique location, interesting geology and extraordinary climatic conditions shape the character of the landscape at Lac de Joux, the Jura Mountains’ largest lake.
