Spectacular trails across and along gorges alternate with fantastic high-altitude routes. This is certainly the case on the tour from the monastery village of St Maurice to the Torrent de Saint Barthélémy. After getting through the 12 kilometre climb to the pretty village of Mex, you then pass through the Mauvoisin gorges before descending once more to the Rhône Valley along winding trails.
