|Journey time:||3 - 4 hours|
From Romanshorn the route runs along the idyllic shores of Lake Constance to the Rorschach harbor. Here the flyer is then loaded and you make your way with the nostalgic Appenzell mountain rail up to Heiden. From the Biedermeier village of Heiden, the tour continues on through Oberegg and via Trogen, Speicher and Teufen to Stein, where a visit to the Appenzell showcase cheese dairy is more than worth the time. Final leg of the journey to your St. Gallen destination (the UNESCO World Heritage town) is then over the 98-meter-high Hagge bridge.
The careful planning of a tour will ensure that you also derive the maximum pleasure and enjoyment from it. Please take the time to contact the local information centre and enquire about route and weather conditions before setting off. Your intended trail may be fully or partially closed, depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
