“Adventures at High Altitudes“ showcases the wide spectrum of SAC mountain huts, which have been offering visitors adventures far from the daily grind, at breathtaking locations, for nearly 150 years. The offer ranges from the simple Tresch Hut in Uri’s Felli Valley, to Cabane de Moiry with extraordinary architecture in Val d'Anniviers, to the glacier-lined Chamanna Coaz in the Engadine.

The wardens try to give parents and children their own rooms, whenever possible. They offer sumptuous meals and of course portions for children, all at affordable prices. The hiking trails to the SAC mountain huts are assigned the values T1 to T2 in the SAC mountain hiking scale (they are marked in the colors yellow or red-white-red, respectively). The maximum hiking time for adults is 2.5 hours. Pre-school children can participate in the hikes.
