Santiago de Compostela alone welcomes nearly 200,000 people each year and other pilgrim routes are also experiencing high growth rates. Travel agents offer spiritual journeys and cities and regions are developing their pilgrim infrastructure and opening new routes. But why do people go on pilgrimages? Just because it makes you feel good? This and other questions are examined at this exhibition at the Museum der Kulturen.
