The cheese market at Alp Tannenboden has already become an old tradition. In mid-October of every year the alpine cheese makers of Tannenboden, Wiese, Lauiboden, Wildenberg and Fursch present and sell their products near restaurant Sennästube. Cheese is available for sampling and purchase at beautifully decorated stands from 10 o’clock on. At 11 o’clock the bell ringers of Flumserberg will officially ring in the start of the alpine cheese market.

The fastest cow wins
The enjoyable mountain festival with the incomparable cow race is a veritable crowd pleaser. The betting office opens at 11. Make sure you place a bet on your favorite. A performance by the Alphorn group Jöuri is scheduled for 1 p.m. The beautifully adorned cows and their riders are officially introduced at 1:30 and at 3 o’clock the sound of the bell ringers of Flumserberg will signal the start of the race: on your mark, ready, MOO...!

The award ceremony and a performance by the Alphorn group Jöuri will follow after the race.

Entertainment for young and old
Attractions for the kids include a jumping castle, a petting zoo and a playground. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. you can watch Stefan Hofer doing chainsaw carvings.
