Sarn (Heinzenberg)
Hint
Intro
Sarn is a typical farming village with an authentic core that is well preserved and also well maintained.
Description
The compact old core of the village is located in the vicinity of the protestant church buit in 1686. The tower of this church was replaced nearly 100 years later, because it was too weak for a third bell. The old farms form lanes and squares, and in the main square water flows into a large fountain trough, which serves even today as a drinking trough for cattle.
Winter
The skiing area of Sarn-Heinzenberg is sunny and family-friendly: there are 20 kilometers of pistes, a chair lift, a ski lift, a magic carpet, a toboggan run, three restaurants and two snow bars, a snow sport school and a rental center. Toboggan fans appreciate mountain transportation via chairlift and look forward to swooshing nearly 4 kilometers down the toboggan run. Winter hikers and snowshoe hikers enjoy the marvelous view of the valley and the Graubünden mountain world.
Summer
Idyllic mountain villages, alpine meadows, the flora and fauna and of course the magnificent views of the mountain world entice visitors to hike, bike and enjoy the pleasant surroundings. A very popular adventure for the entire family is the Adventure Hiking Path Tilla in Präz. The girl Tilla invites her friends to an exciting adventure tour at the castle ruins of Heinzenberg and there is a wonderful picnic spot where one can enjoy a leisurely picnic.
